Head Optician

The head optician is responsible for the efficiency of the opticians of his territory. He ensures an exceptional customer experience, contributes to the stores opening success threw the recruitment and training and he is following up on the quality control. The head optician sets the example and inspires his teams on a daily basis. He acts as both a player and a coach.

A DAY IN A LIFE OF AN HEAD OPTICIAN

  • Manage, coach and develop the opticians by ensuring the continuous training

  • Recruit and integrate new opticians

  • Build a network of opticians to meet the needs of the territory

  • Manage the optical and stylism aspects of the training for new store openings

  • Improve sales results through initiatives and effective management of all opticians in stores

  • Work with different departments to optimize business practices

  • Act as point of contact between the head office and the stores

  • Communicate on a regular basis with head opticians of other territories in order to standardize BonLook practices

  • Act as a leader on the floor, support the team and create a superior experience in store

  • Represent the BonLook brand: convey the corporation values and the brand image at all times

  • Ensure compliance of BonLook business practices according to the laws of its province

requirements related to optics

  • Master all the task of the optician in store

  • Offer the necessary optical documentation to all opticians of his territory

  • Analyse and manage the “re-dos” of the territory

  • Maintain excellent business relations with our different suppliers

  • Collaborate with the operations department regarding new procedures and optimization methods

Requirements

  • Optician with more than 5 years or experience

  • At least 2 years of experience in team management

  • Proactive and creative when facing different issues

  • Communicates clearly and effectively

  • Skilled in human resources and crisis management

  • Master in the art of managing time and priorities

  • Extremely detail-oriented

  • Enthusiastic about working in a dynamic and ever-changing environment

  • Keeps his temper under pressure

  • Passionate about fashion, glasses and the retail industry

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS FOR BONLOOK QC INC

  • Strong entrepreneurial desire in a fast-growing company

  • Good knowledge of the profession of optician and deontology

  • Ability to bring changes to the methodology of professionals and work with the authorities to address the fears of innovation
