JOB DESCRIPTION

The Junior Buyer is responsible for supporting all tasks pertaining to the buying process and must assist the Buyer in his/her duties. The incumbent has a direct relationship with suppliers and performs regular follow-ups with them. He/she must also coordinate the purchasing procedures and perform all the administrative activities of the BonLook purchasing process. In certain instances, the Junior Buyer will also be asked to make recommendations on how to improve processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for organizing and managing the administrative aspects of the Purchasing Department’s processes;

  • Manages and updates supplier database;

  • Ensures regular follow-ups with suppliers;

  • Performs the Purchasing Department’s administrative tasks in connection with the Buyer and the Operations Department;

  • Follows up on deliveries, both ongoing and upcoming;

  • Participates in the verification of product specifications;

  • Prepares the documentation and tools necessary to perform report analyses;

  • Keeps up to date with the results from the analyses performed by the Buyer in order to understand product performance;

  • Gathers the information required to perform in-depth analyses of all various aspects of the products (prices, promotions, margins, etc.);

  • Resolves problematic situations in conjunction with the Buyer;

  • Produces documents that will help the Marketing Department advertise promotions and trends;

  • Remains on the lookout for new trends;

  • Performs any other related task.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Marketing, Business Administration or any other related field;

  • At least two years of experience in Purchasing and Administration;

  • Bilingual (English and French, written and spoken);

  • Good command of the Office Suite software, more specifically Excel;

  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills;

  • Ability to analyze reports;

  • Adaptability in an ever-changing, high-growth environment;

  • Ability to work under pressure and strong tolerance for ambiguity and complexity;

  • Analytical mindset;

  • Previous fashion experience is considered an asset.
