JOB DESCRIPTION:

BonLook is looking for a motivated and passionate lead receiving logistics clerk to help with the receiving of bulk shipments, management of quality assurance and control, inventory movement, and preparation of shipments for clients in Canada and the U.S. Our ideal candidate is a quick-learner and self-starter. They must be comfortable juggling a variety of tasks. They will also be expected to respond to various requests from other departments within the organization above and beyond their required duties as lead receiving logistics clerk. The candidate must be comfortable working both independently or in a team-based setting. The role will be based out of our head office warehouse in Montreal.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure all new models have been received and entered into the ERP system upon completion of quality control inspection. Delegate the handling of deliveries (if necessary) during the receiving process;

  • Coordinate shipments of all items necessary for store openings as required by brand team;

  • Coordinate shipments to laboratory for the manufacturing of plano lens glasses (glasses without prescription) ahead of store openings;

  • Ensure the replenishment (cross-dock) of partners (both labs and stores) when new collections are launched; follow-up with the laboratory to ensure the necessary measurements are taken;

  • Stay in constant contact with the purchasing department regarding priorities of reception and non-conformities management;

  • Get quotes for and plan/organize the shipment (LTL) of supplies and accessories to labs;

  • Manage the accessories cycle count with partners (labs);

  • Act as the department’s resource; be available to help new employees with questions/concerns.

  • Be an independent thinker and problem-solver

  • Take ownership of priority management; be responsible for implementing new processes and handling inventory replenishment;

  • Perform analyses examining any gaps in inventory if necessary;

  • Possess a broad understanding of technical systems (prior experience operating OpenERP/Odoo will be considered an asset);

  • Participate in the updating and implementation of new processes in overall operations;

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent;

  • Two to four years’ experience in logistics or relevant field;

  • Bilingual (English and French);

  • Self-sufficient and creative; a sense of initiative;

  • Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced startup environment;

  • Ability to multitask;

  • Comfortable working in a technology-driven environment;

  • Flexible, with ability to travel to various locations in the greater Montreal area (whether by public transportation or car).

JOB CONDITIONS:

  • Full-time from Monday to Friday, 40 hours/week

  • 70% discount on four pairs of glasses per year
