What is a valid prescription?
A valid prescription is less than 2 years old. If you have not had an eye exam within the last 2 years, your prescription is no longer valid. If you don't have a prescription, you can call your eye care professional and ask for the details of your prescription. Your eye care professional is required by law to provide you with such information. Please contact your eye care professional for a new eye exam and make sure to leave with your full prescription in hand including your pupillary Distance (PD) measurement!.

What is the PD measurement?
The PD is the distance between the center of each eye. This measurement should be indicated on your prescription. Often, it is not provided by your optometrist, but rather measured by the optician when you place an order for eyeglasses. It should, however, be part of your prescription details; we highly recommend that you request it when you see your eye care professional. In most cases, the PD measurements are between 57mm and 65mm. The average PD for men is 64mm and the average PD for women is 60mm.Close
